Preaching

I’ve been preaching and leading worship in various contexts for almost all of my 50 years as a Christian. So it’s been interesting to sign up as a trainee local preacher in the Methodist church and start to re-examine what has been a large part of my journey.

When I began the new Worship and Leading course, I started keeping a course journal. It’s a self-study course, mainly, so I felt that if I didn’t keep a record, I would lose track of what I had studied and reflected on.

It seemed like a good idea to capture some of these thoughts in a more permanent and public form. I suppose that this blog may be of use to someone, somewhere, who is going through the same process; but I’ll just enjoy writing it, and let it look after itself. Publish and be.. well, not quite. Here it is.
